God’s encouragement…
This blog is the first time I sought to praise God and share the good news of the Gospel by writing about it. As I stepped out in faith, I quickly found that attempting to share something so overwhelmingly great is daunting. The skill to string words together that convey the impact of God’s beautiful, life-transforming grace through Jesus Christ is more than I possess. Yet trying has brought joy as I began to find Jesus everywhere, not only in the present but also in my past. I pray for the words to be His words, not mine, told through experiences and observations He provides. And I hope that common threads of God’s presence are found within the words.
I don’t know if what I’ve been writing honors Him first and foremost, which is what I desire, or has expressed my wonder as the truth of the Gospel took up residence in my heart. Perhaps they are the same thing, perhaps not. So, for now, the blog will pause as I bring these questions to God, heeding the advice of Psalm 37:7 to “be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him.” I trust completely that He will let me know if writing is His intended path for me to praise Him and share the Gospel.
I thank you for participating in my foray into writing about beholding Jesus, as I’ve shared the journey He has given me. You have touched my heart deeply!
