God’s encouragement…
The kingdom of God blossomed into a world-wide fellowship of believers because Jesus spoke these words.
In the early days, just after the first Easter when His disciples and followers encountered the risen Christ, they told everyone who would listen. They praised God and glorified Him! Our family in faith, the living church of Jesus today, is the result of their joyful and glorious proclamation.
Jesus has always called ordinary men and women to follow Him. He is growing His church the same way today with the addition of us! After He calls us, He sends us to share the Gospel with other ordinary people. Our person-to-person testimony has encircled the whole earth! This was always God’s plan and today we are part of it. We share the Gospel with ALL nations. Nations that have long endured and nations yet to come. All are welcome in God’s kingdom. We are joined together by the miracle of belief that Jesus is the Christ, the Savior of the world.
This is our shared experience and it connects us to our distant brothers and sisters living all over the world. We are all members of the family of God. When we sing and praise Him in our home churches, we honor Jesus and the kingdom He entrusted us to build with His words, “Go, therefore….”
